Dr. Andrew Yan received his medical degree and his postgraduate training in internal medicine and cardiology at the University of Toronto. As the recipient of a Canadian Institute of Health Research fellowship award, he completed a 2-year clinical research fellowship in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, USA. He is a member of the Division of Cardiology at St. Michael’s Hospital and is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. His research interests include clinical registries and clinical trials, risk stratification and treatment patterns in acute coronary syndromes, and novel applications of cardiac MRI in clinical practice and research.
